P-LEDGEPLEDGE one minute six times a day to pay attention to your Thoughts, Emotions, and Feelings (T.E.F.). This T.E.F. is filling the space in your mind, and, often, we don’t even know it is happening. Make a habit of noticing.

E-VALUATEEVALUATE what you’ve discovered by identifying the repetitive, negative, unhealthy T.E.F. Search for the T.E.F. you identity with ie: drama, anxiety, depression, guilt, trauma etc. Be honest with yourself. FYI: This can be the hardest step because people don’t want to admit to the T.E.F. that occupies their minds.

R-ECOGNIZERECOGNIZE the T.E.F. as they come up in the day. This simple recognition, when done continually, creates space between you and your T.E.F. . Ah, if you can create space between you and your T.E.F., then you discover there must be a difference between you and the thoughts you think!

L-OCATELOCATE the authentic silence that appears in the space you’ve created with the elimination of the T.E.F.. Hint: This silence is expandable. It’s not in your head. It’s when you drop into you

O-PENOPEN your heart by focusing your silent attention there and meditating on an open heart. Abide in an open heart, first in meditation, then in your daily activities. Hint: At first, you will only get glimpses of an open heart. Over time, it will grow.

V-ESTVEST in the universal peace, unconditional love, and boundless wisdom that comes through your heart when your mind is silenced. With an open heart, you will sense a subtle shift in perspective that changes how you view the world.
